Geode is my NCAD's MFA final year project. Initially working on parallel worlds and alternative realities, it took on its full meaning during the 2020-2021 lockdown.
The internet and social networks made this project exist beyond my expectations by streaming, going live and publishing texts and videos. This was exactly the point of the project.
In the style of Montesqieu's Persian Letters, I imagined an alien lost on earth who found refuge in an abandoned shower. During its wanderings between reality and digital, it analyzes and seeks to understand the essence of the human world.
I entirely designed its costume and the decor of its shower with tapestries that I had woven and personal objects that have a particular resonance to me.
